ENSTONE PARISH COUNCIL
Held in Enstone Parish Hall on Thursday 20th March 2025 at 8.32 pm
following the Parish Council Meeting
PRESENT: PCs. N. Knott, D. Robottom, J. Ferguson-Davie, C. Glendinning, H. Bourne-Taylor, C. Millar and DC. Andrew Beaney
APOLOGIES: None
IN ATTENDANCE: Mrs. Beth Sinclair, clerk,

PUBLIC AND PRESS:-
To consider passing a resolution, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted:-
- Enstone Relief in Need Charity –
- the Parish Council unanimously agreed to this resolution.
ENSTONE RELIEF IN NEED CHARITY
- PC Knott explained that interviews took place on Monday 17th March & Tuesday 18th March. There were four applicants for the position of three Trustees.
- Those interviewing were PCs. N. Knott, H. Bourne-Taylor & J. Ferguson-Davie. It was a fair process to achieve a balanced group of Trustees for the Charity.
- There was a scoring procedure and candidates were assessed according to charity experience, leadership, fund-raising concepts, relevant skills, understanding of the issues, communication skills, empathy with potential beneficiaries, drive, commitment and personal presentation.
- It was agreed unanimously on whom to appoint.
- At this meeting, it was resolved to offer the post of Trustee to the three most suitable applicants.
- The clerk will contact them to offer them the position based on due diligence checks.
- If they accept, the clerk will organise for the Trustees to have a handover of the paperwork with one of the current Trustees.
- The clerk will thank the current Trustees for all their work and dedication over the past few years.
- It is envisaged that the Charity’s Constitution will be updated to have more than three Trustees so that the fourth applicant can also become a Trustee.
- The three Trustees will be formally appointed on Thursday 24th April at the Full Council Meeting.
- The three interviewees and clerk were thanked for all their work involved with the interview process.
