4. Financial report
Much discussion around the impact of cost of living increases and fuel costs, particularly with regards to hall booking costs going forward. Amanda pointed out that current operating costs are around £1800 per month and with the combination of regular and ad hoc bookings we have managed to exceed this in income terms. An increase in hall charges was discussed with a baseline figure of a 10% increase – after some external investigations of local hall charges this would seem appropriate although the committee would need to approve the specific charge increases. Local charge examples: Charlbury Leisure Centre – £45 per hour Glyme Hall £20 per hour Main Hall, £17.50 small room Long Compton Village Hall – Main Hall £14/hr, Committee Room £8/hr Chipping Norton Methodist Hall – £16.00/hr Chipping Norton Town Hall – varied but around £25 per hour |
